Why Do You Need an Osteopath?

Nice to meet you! We’re Dmytro & Natalia

We are Dmytro and Natalia, osteopathic practitioners with extensive clinical experience. We have worked with patients across Europe and are now practicing in downtown Oakville, bringing a broad and well-rounded clinical perspective to our work.

Our approach is based on a simple principle: lasting results come from identifying and addressing the root cause of dysfunction — not just temporarily relieving symptoms. We assess how your body functions as a whole, looking at movement patterns, areas of restriction, and the ways the body compensates over time.

Patients come to us with back pain, neck pain, shoulder pain, sciatica, migraines, andpostural imbalance — often after months of living with discomfort.

We practice classical osteopathy, and every session is tailored to you as an individual — taking into account your history, lifestyle, posture, breathing, and overall condition.

We are registered and in good standing, and our services may be eligible for reimbursement through extended health benefit plans (coverage depends on your provider). Our goal is not just short-term relief, but helping your body restore more natural movement and function over time.

Real Results

A few of our real client cases

Thoracic kyphosis and forward head posture

Thoracic kyphosis and forward head posture

Before: Increased thoracic curvature with a forward positioning of the head, reduced thoracic mobility, and a closed chest posture.

After: A more upright thoracic alignment with improved head positioning, increased chest openness, and a more balanced overall posture.

Neck tension with shoulder and pelvic asymmetry

Neck tension with shoulder and pelvic asymmetry

Before: Increased neck tension with visible shoulder asymmetry and an uneven pelvic alignment.

After: Reduced neck tension with improved shoulder symmetry and a more balanced pelvic position, resulting in a more natural and stable posture.

Lower Back Pain Due to an S-Shaped Curve in the Lumbar Spine

Lower Back Pain Due to an S-Shaped Curve in the Lumbar Spine

Before: A strong S-shaped curve (side-to-side shift) in the lower back caused intense pain, limited movement, and constant discomfort — making it hard to sit, stand, or move freely.

After: The spine straightened out, the curve resolved, pain completely disappeared, posture improved, and the body feels lighter and more mobile in everyday activities.

Tight Left Side of the Back and Visible Imbalance

Tight Left Side of the Back and Visible Imbalance

Before: The left side of the back was very tight, causing noticeable asymmetry — the body looked shifted or uneven (visible in photos).

After: Tension released completely, the body balanced and became symmetrical, posture straightened out.

Scoliosis and Noticeable Spinal Curve

Scoliosis and Noticeable Spinal Curve

Before: The left photo shows a clear sideways curve in the spine (scoliosis), with the line of the back deviated to one side.

After: The back straightened, the line became even and symmetrical (visible in the right photo), and posture improved.

Apparent Leg Length Difference Due to Pelvic Tilt

Apparent Leg Length Difference Due to Pelvic Tilt

Before: One leg appeared shorter than the other (red lines on photos show the imbalance), caused by a tilted pelvis — a very common issue leading to back, hip, or knee discomfort.

After: Pelvis leveled out, legs now even in appearance, body balanced symmetrically, posture improved, and comfort restored.

What is Osteopathy

Osteopathy is a hands-on physical therapy approach that has been practiced for over a century and continues to gain recognition for its role in pain management and improving mobility.

Founded in the 1870s by A.T. Still, osteopathy is based on the principle that optimal health depends on the balanced relationship between the body’s structure and its ability to move freely.

Osteopathic care focuses on restoring mobility, supporting proper movement, and reducing physical discomfort. Practitioners work with the muscles, joints, spine, and connective tissues to help address issues such as neck pain, back and spinal discomfort, as well as hip and knee pain.

Osteopathy is often chosen by patients seeking a comprehensive, movement-focused approach to physical well-being.

“The body is a unit; the person is a unit of body, mind, and spirit.”— Andrew Taylor Still —

★★★★★

I came to the osteopath with pain and discomfort in my upper trapezius and SCM muscles (sternocleidomastoid) that I had been experiencing for four months. After just three visits, along with taping, I’ve noticed a significant improvement. My muscles are less painful, get tired less easily, and recover much faster. I’m continuing my recovery and am very happy with the progress so far. I would definitely recommend this osteopath!
